Thames Valley Positive Support

Time to Test

Since 1985, Thames Valley Positive Support has worked to make a significant difference to people living with HIV across Berkshire. Time to Test aims to help ensure HIV rates in Berkshire, England are zero by 2030. Thames Valley Positive Support has collaborated with existing service members who are living with HIV to identify these barriers and is implementing a model designed to overcome them. Rather than testing everyone, this program focuses on those who are the highest risk and statistically the least likely to test.

Digitally Transforming HIV Prevention and Support in Scotland

Waverley Care was established in 1989 to build the UK’s first purpose-built AIDS hospice, in response to the growing HIV epidemic in Edinburgh. This project is working to radically transform how Waverley Care engages and interacts with service users and professional partners. Waverly Care aims to be a sector leader in online service provision by integrating digital engagement platforms into its work, ensuring equity in the availability of its prevention and support services across Scotland. The program further aims to eliminate HIV stigma through education by investing in digital tools to reach a wider audience with key HIV prevention and sexual health messages.

The River House Trust

Overcoming Loneliness & Isolation in Older People with HIV

River House is a community-based center for people who live with HIV and provides a large and diverse range of services such as nursing advice, counselling, benefits advice, complementary therapies and educational courses. This program seeks to reduce the impact of loneliness and isolation in older people with HIV living in London. Loneliness and isolation can be exacerbated by living with HIV, due largely to the impact of HIV-related stigma and discrimination.
