Sexual Health West

Community Outreach and Education Program

Sexual Health West is implementing an innovative and interactive community outreach and education program focusing on HIV prevention. The broad reach of the program focuses on at risk and hard to reach groups, including the LGBTQIA+ community, transgender community, migrants/asylum-seekers/those living in direct provision, people without housing/those living in hostel accommodation and people with substance or alcohol dependencies. The program offers free rapid HIV testing, free sexually transmitted infection screening and professional support.

Dublin AIDS Alliance CLG

Know Your Status – Mobile Testing and HIV/Sexual Health Information and Outreach Service

The Dublin AIDS Alliance CLG’s program, Know Your Status – Mobile Testing and HIV/Sexual Health Information and Outreach Service, addresses the need to increase HIV and STI screenings among cohorts of particularly vulnerable populations who may not be engaging in services. In addition, testing and information is provided outside main urban areas, where dedicated sexual health services are often lacking. A partnership between HIV Ireland (MPOWER) and ACET (AIDS Care Education & Training Ireland), in collaboration with the HSE Sexual Health and Crisis Pregnancy Program, ensures the needs of service users are met.
