Social Cartography of the Prevention Story with Youth from Marginalized Communities

Bem-Me-Quer Project aims to contribute to improving the quality of life and health of people in situations of social vulnerability and those living with HIV/AIDS. The organization is conducting a social cartography of prevention stories for youth from underserved communities, with the goal of identifying gaps that keep young people living in the metropolitan region of São Paulo from accessing HIV and STI prevention supplies.

#PrecisamosFalarSobreIsso – A Série / (#WeNeedToTalkAboutThis – The Series)

In 2016, André Canto started research on HIV and AIDS, resulting in a documentary retrospective of the epidemic in Brazil. #PrecisamosFalarSobreIsso – A Série (#WeNeedToTalkAboutThis – The Series) is a series of six episodes talking about the importance of science, the technological advances in medicine and how they can help to reduce stigma. Canto Produções shares information and tools with individuals to manage treatment and prevention as well as fight stigma to demystify HIV/AIDS as this is a critical component of ending the epidemic.

Training, Prevention and Advocacy Project for the Elimination of HIV in Marginalized Populations (Black, LGBTQIA+ and sex professionals)

Grupo de Apoio Solidariedade (GAS) is implementing its Training, Prevention and Advocacy Project for the Elimination of HIV in Marginalized Populations, with the goal of contributing to the reduction and elimination of new HIV cases and deaths of AIDS-related causes in the state of Pará. The program aims to reach Black individuals, LGBTQIA+ individuals and sex workers, as well as residents of urban, peripheral, or rural areas of municipalities (Belém, Ananindeua, Marituba, Castanhal and Abaetetuba) with high rates of HIV/AIDS incidence and/or mortality.

Fundo Positivo

Supporting Grassroot Organizations in the Field of HIV Prevention

Fundo Positivo was created in 2014 with the aim of helping institutions working to find solutions relating to STIs, HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis. This funded program supports small grants for 20 civil society organizations working in HIV prevention, specifically in the development of HIV/AIDS community education for key populations who live in extreme poverty.
