Services at the Far End of the Road (SAFER): Mobile Outreach to End the HIV Epidemic in Rural Malawi

GAIA Global Health focuses on strengthening healthcare systems in under-resourced African communities, with the aim of improving outcomes for all. The Services at the Far End of the Road (SAFER) initiative adds innovative, comprehensive HIV services to mobile health clinics in three high-prevalence rural districts. Leveraging GAIA's seven clinics serving 35 remote sites, SAFER works to help: 1) prevent new HIV infections through combination prevention; 2) provide differentiated HIV testing and linkage services for high risk and key groups; and 3) provide integrated healthcare for those living with and at high risk of acquiring HIV.
