Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) as a Pillar of Prevention

The Aids-Hilfe Schweiz (Swiss AIDS Federation) is a non-profit organization that plans, coordinates and implements prevention projects – especially for population groups at increased risk – and is committed to helping people living with HIV, their needs, their rights and their equality in society. Aids-Hilfe Schweiz is implementing a PEP program, PEP as a Pillar of Prevention, to help inform men who have sex with men about PEP, remove the stigma surrounding this treatment and educate healthcare professionals on prejudice-free delivery of service.

Multicolore – Prevention Services for Migrants in the Canton of Bern

AIDS Hilfe Bern is an educational organization focused on informing and advising people on HIV and sexuality, through imparting knowledge, promoting dialogue and enabling people to support those affected by HIV. Aids Hilfe Bern is running the migration-specific service Multicolore to provide vulnerable migrants in the canton of Bern with equal access to information, anonymous HIV tests, confidential counseling and healthcare.

Reaching the Other Half of the Pandemic: A Pilot Project to Implement HIV Testing and Prevention into Switzerland’s Biggest Center for Travel Medicine

The University of Zurich is an institution with an international reputation for excellence, recruiting outstanding researchers from throughout the world, fostering international collaboration in research and teaching and promoting student exchange. The University of Zurich has launched Reaching the Other Half of the Pandemic, an HIV counseling and testing program for healthcare professionals who work in travel medicine with a focus on prevention services. In Switzerland, most HIV cases (other than those among men who have sex with men) are transmitted during traveling or among people visiting friends and relatives in their home countries.
