Strengthening Community Responses on Prevention and Care for PLHIV During Pandemic Emergency Crisis

Adhara Asociación VIH/Sida is a community center in Seville, Spain that promotes HIV prevention, testing and early diagnosis. It provides rapid linkage to care for people diagnosed with HIV. Through its Strengthening Community Responses project, Adhara Asociación VIH/Sida is creating new ways to deliver prevention services both on its premises and using courier services – sending auto-test kits and prevention boxes with latex barriers – through an online service. The organization is also offering support to people living with HIV through online forums and reinforcing the distribution of HIV treatment by peers in collaboration with hospitals and pharmacies in vulnerable communities.

Zero Cities

Apoyo Positivo is an organization dedicated to the rights and wellbeing of people living with HIV. It engages directly with the people and communities most affected by HIV to address their most urgent unmet needs. Apoyo Positivo's Zero Cities program is a community coordination network of key agents at the municipal and regional levels committed to the end of HIV, under the Fast Track Cities strategy of UNAIDS and the Social Pact for Non-Discrimination of Spain’s Ministry of Health.
