TransWave Jamaica

Building Resilience for Trans and Gender Non-Conforming Jamaicans through Comprehensive Healthcare

Since 2019, TransWave Jamaica has received funding from a Global Fund Grant through the Ministry of Health and Wellness and Jamaica AIDS Support for Life. TransWave improves access to HIV prevention and treatment services, including advocating for a supportive and enabling environment for transgender individuals in Jamaica that can support improved health and wellbeing. Their other advocacy efforts center on key areas which promote the inclusion and protection of the transgender and gender non-conforming community. These include legal gender recognition, equitable access to non-discriminatory health care, education, housing and employment.

International Community of Women Living with HIV

Culturally Safer HIV Leadership Trainings

International Community of Women Living with HIV (ICW) exists to lead efforts toward securing and improving quality of life for women living with HIV. ICW mobilizes, organizes, advocates, mentors and raises awareness of the issues that directly impact the lives of women living with HIV. ICW’s Culturally Safer HIV Leadership Trainings support its efforts to build a vibrant movement of powerful and informed women living with HIV who realize and claim their rights at a personal and societal level, to help define and advance the agenda of women living with HIV.
