Activating LGBTQIA+ Advocacy to End the Epidemic

Equality Federation Institute is an advocacy accelerator rooted in social justice, building power in our network of state-based LGBTQIA+ advocacy organizations. Activating LGBTQIA+ Advocacy to End the Epidemic is working to expand the ability of state LGBTQIA+ advocacy organizations to improve HIV policy at the state level. The Equality Federation Institute partners with six groups to build their capabilities to engage in the federal Ending the HIV Epidemic plan.

Cascade AIDS Project

Targeted Prevention to End the HIV Epidemic in Oregon: Zeroing In High-Risk Communities

Founded in 1983 and incorporated in 1985 as the Cascade AIDS Project, CAP is the oldest and largest community-based provider of HIV services, housing, education and advocacy in Oregon and Southwest Washington. This program expands Cascade AIDS Project’s existing HIV and STI prevention services targeted toward three focus groups: people without housing, people who inject drugs and sex workers.
