Project Changing the Narrative

SLK Health Services Corporation is a Prince George's County community-based organization promoting the prevention and eradication among the LGBTQIA+ community as well as the HIV community and all other vulnerable communities. Project Changing the Narrative seeks to introduce a new model of service to better support people living with HIV and address the needs of at risk communities, including various outreach events and educational forums to provide necessary HIV services and engage the local community.

Baltimore Safe Haven HIV Prevention Work

Baltimore Safe Haven provides Baltimore City LGBTQIA+ people currently living in survival mode with opportunities to thrive. Baltimore Safe Haven focuses on those members with a limited median income, who are currently engaged in or have a history in sex work, who are substance users or people who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Baltimore Safe Haven's HIV Prevention Work program provides outreach, case management and referral services to the transgender community in Baltimore to help reduce the spread of HIV in one of the city’s most at risk populations.
