Pushing Back the Fear – How COVID-19 Testing Increases HIV Testing to Help End the Epidemic

North Jersey AIDS Alliance, part of North Jersey Community Research Initiative, is one of New Jersey’s largest and most comprehensive HIV/AIDS community-based organizations. The organization’s mission is to empower their clients by reducing social and health disparities in the greater Newark area. North Jersey AIDS Alliance is working to address high rates of HIV, high rates of COVID-19 and the need to increase awareness of HIV status among populations unlikely to participate in testing through paired COVID-19 and HIV testing activities using point-of-care technology. This program serves Essex County, focusing on the greater Newark area.
