Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS
Ending the Epidemic through HIV Prevention Outreach and Cultural Competency at Phoenix Area Colleges and Universities
The Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS was founded in 1990 by and for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, and provides affirming and inclusive services to promote wellbeing and advance health equity for diverse communities and all those seeking compassionate care – especially people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals and those affected by HIV. This program develops and implements community outreach and education for college students focused on HIV testing, prevention and sexual health, as well as cultural competency training for future healthcare professionals.
